Very many thanks for your letter of the 20th

of May with the enclosure about the British Boxer

Indemnity Scholarship Scheme. What a fine scheme it is

and how very gratifying that four competitors sent up

by Hong Kong University have all secured scholarships!

I have taken it upon myself to have your letter filed

here for purposes of record.

Steps are being taken to lay the University's

petition before the King, and I hope we shall soon be

able to let you know through the Governor that

His Majesty has agreed to become Patron.
